Our Doc Lab® Reference Lab — Where the Science Originates
SoftCell Laboratories is a Doc Lab® company, and it is the reference laboratory arm of the business. That relationship is not a logo on a page — Doc Lab® develops proprietary reagents. Most reference laboratories buy their chemistry from a third party. We make ours.
That means tighter lot-to-lot quality control, faster resolution when something needs investigating, and technical support from the people who actually built the test rather than a call center reading from a script. When you have a question about a result, you can reach someone who knows the science from the inside.

Where Your Specimens Go
A Reference Laboratory, Not a Competitor
SoftCell is a reference laboratory. Physician practices, clinics, and other laboratories send us specimens; we perform the testing and return results via portal, fax, or EMR integration. We work in tandem with your other labs or your in-house lab.

From Biological Research to Precision Medicine
A Lab Built, Acquired, and Expanded
SoftCell began in 2014 as a biological research lab in Utah. Over the following years, it evolved into a full medical testing laboratory, delivering precision medicine insights to patients and providers. Doc Lab acquired SoftCell to serve as its R&D arm — and to provide reference laboratory support for Doc Lab's growing base of clients nationwide. Since then, SoftCell has expanded well beyond its original Utah roots, relocating and opening a new primary laboratory in Hillsboro, Oregon, and most recently opening a second lab in Carrollton, Texas. Today, SoftCell operates from Hillsboro, Oregon and Carrollton, Texas (with more locations coming), serving practices and laboratories nationwide.
